When she talks active the night of her burning house, she is officious to mention that the first thing she did was air to God for attention and guidance. To my God my heart did cry to intone me in my distress. (Bradstreet p.140) She asked God for strength, and once s he was out of her house and out of danger, she gave thanks to God. She utter blest his name that gave and took for she was glad about being alive and wasnt worrying about what was being destroyed. She is understanding and realizes that wholly she had was non hers but Gods. Bradstreet is not weeping every over her losses or is angry for what has happened.

She understood that what God gives he could take and that she should not plain for she has her life. Bradstreet however doesnt get over the fact that she misses her memories in her house. She misses what was once in her house and all the memories that were within the house. She doesnt put much sorrow in it because she knows that all the corporeal things that were destroye! d were just vanity. Even though her house burned down and she lost all her possessions she pull up lay on the line always have a house in promised the three estates to go to. She knows she will need nothing in attainment for all would be provided By God in attainment and that the real treasure lies in heaven with God.
